In the quest for a healthier lifestyle, one of the biggest challenges is sourcing quality food. On the recommendation of Kimberly at Pretty Over Fifty, I went down the rabbit hole of finding higher quality proteins. As a carnivore, I ran into issue after issue regarding proteins you find at the traditional supermarket.
Thankfully, where I live in Washington is close to a local butcher – Blue Max Meats. They are terrific at sourcing local beef from ranches and farms throughout the state. However, a home delivery method is also quite handy – and for this, I found Wild Pastures.
“Beyond Sustainable…We’re Regenerative!
All of our farmers utilize regenerative farming practices in order to raise healthy animals in a way that is beneficial to the ecosystem and environment.”
Regenerative farming is a complex business – and for a complete explanation you can visit this site.
But overall, regenerative farming results in healthier food, and a healthier you.
I began my Wild Pastures journey with a combo order of chicken and pork, 15 lbs. on a 6 week order subscription. The total was just over $125.00. As it is usually just myself preparing meals, and I only eat a cooked whole food meal once per day, this order will last me at least six weeks.
I’ll keep you posted on the recipes I turn up. Let me know if you’ve tried Wild Pastures and what you thought!
