UPDATE December 2024 results below!
Biomarker testing is essential for knowing where you really stand with your health at any given time. There are several companies now that offer diagnostic testing independently of your primary health provider or standard insurance.
For 2024, I’ve chosen Lifeforce to provide my latest biomarker results. According to their website, Lifeforce provides: “A comprehensive proactive health program combining diagnostics, doctors, coaches, and science-backed longevity therapies.”
My membership option, which came in at $349.00, included a full blood screening, including:
- Hemaglobin A1c
- Magnesium
- DHEA-Sulfate
- Luteinizing Hormone (LH)
- FSH
- Progesterone
- Estradiol
- CBC with Differential/Platelet
- IGF-1
- Vitamin D, 25 Hydroxy
- Lipoprotein (a)
- C-Reactive Protein, Cardiac
- Testosterone Free, Profile 1
- Apolipoprotein B
- Lipid Panel
- Comp. Metabolic Panel (14)
- Thyroid Cascade Profile
- Homocysteine
The blood draw can be done at home or at a local facility. Once the results are in, a telehealth visit is scheduled for consult with a clinician to review.

And in case you are fortunate to have an HSA or FSA (health spending account or flexible spending account), Lifeforce can be paid through your benefits. Thanks to TrueMed, you can receive a letter of medical necessity that qualifies the testing for funding. Just complete a short medical history questionnaire and TrueMed will assess your situation, providing the documentation necessary.
According to their website, TrueMed’s philosophy reads:
“Chronic disease prevention doesn’t come from a prescription pad, a doctor’s office, or a surgeon’s scalpel. We need to incentivize true medicine that prevents and reverses the chronic conditions that plague the US today.”
Lifeforce follows up their testing with a telehealth visit. My doctor was readily available and spent almost an hour with me, going over the results and highlighting areas of improvement. The focus was on a couple of areas where the biomarkers indicated potential future risk. Recommendations for Vitamin D+K and DHEA over the course of the next three months and then a retest.

I will certainly keep you posted on the updates. For more details on some of the protocol I am currently implementing, check out these posts on Whoop wearable and Viome Oral Health Intelligence testing.
UPDATE: 24 December 2024
It’s been three months since I began my Lifeforce Diagnostics journey – and on December 24th, 2024, I retested to see just how my adjusted protocol had affected my bloodwork.
Lifeforce monthly subscription ($129.00) includes the quarterly bloodwork updates, which can be scheduled either at a local laboratory or in your home. I have a convenient lab nearby, so I dropped in there for the draw. In just a few days (even with the holiday break), I had the results. Any supplements or prescriptions recommended are extra, but available at a discount. I have been taking Vitamin D and DHEA since my August test results.
Once the lab results were available, I made a telehealth appointment with my physician, just 10 days later to review the new markers.

In the consult via telehealth after the blood test results, we saw a couple of my markers had already shown improvement – but my cortisol levels are still too high. Recommendations include limiting screen time upon waking, taking full time-out breaks throughout the day, and making sure my last meal of the day (well before bedtime) is the lowest calorie meal.
Continuing my current supplements (Blueprint Stack, DHEA, Vitamin D/K), and workout regime – Hotworx HIT. Next test in March.
I haven’t entirely decided if I will continue with Lifeforce into the new year – not because they haven’t been great, but in part because I am curious as to some of the other testing/consult companies online now (Function Health, etc.) and in part because I am not sure I am finding enough value in the ongoing consultations/monthly fee – vs. simply paying for the testing alone every three months.
But I’ll keep you posted!
