Is blogging dead?  I certainly hope not. And I’m currently on a quest to discover just how the world of blogging is fairing in 2024 and beyond.

As a writer for the past 40 years, I’ve seen many trends in the written communication field. And just as the news touted video killed the radio, YouTube and other video platforms were touted to have killed the blog. 

I’m not convinced. I watch my fair share of videos – no denying it. However, I still read real books – the kind with hardbound covers and attractive book jackets.  And I’m not alone. The written word is not passe.

So come along and let’s find out just how much life is left in print. I’ve taken some blogging courses from successful content creators (half my age) and learned a thing or two about how the various platforms and algorithms work together – both for and against you, depending on your level of expertise. And I’ll admit, it is a long way from the first personal website I ever launched (mostly viewed only by my friends and family for an online version of the holiday newsletter). 

I’ll certainly keep you posted (see what I did there?) as to the best of – advice, tips, resources, tricks, secret code words – for finding success in the blogging space. From my best understanding, it’s a long tail game, so pack your patience. Lucky for you, I’ve got plenty of interests and even more time.
